1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer and you enter into a distance contract with SEPAAN, you generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, unless a statutory exception applies.

The withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

You do not have to provide a reason for exercising your withdrawal right.

Your statutory rights are not restricted by any other cancellation or refund provisions stated on this website.

2. Exercising Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform SEPAAN of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of a clear statement, for example by email.

Sending the withdrawal notice before the expiry of the withdrawal period is sufficient to meet the withdrawal deadline.

3. Starting Lessons During the Withdrawal Period

If you want your online lessons to begin before the end of the statutory withdrawal period, you must expressly request that SEPAAN begin providing the service before the withdrawal period has expired.

By making this request, you acknowledge that if you exercise your withdrawal right after the service has begun, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided, where applicable under the law.

If the service has been fully performed after your express request and the applicable legal requirements have been fulfilled, your statutory right of withdrawal may expire.

This does not affect any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

German law provides for proportionate payment for services already provided after an express request to begin during the withdrawal period, subject to the applicable legal requirements.

4. Cancellation of Individual Lessons

If you have booked an individual lesson and wish to cancel or reschedule it, please contact SEPAAN as early as possible.

Rescheduling is subject to availability.

A missed lesson does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights remain unaffected.

5. Cancellation of the 8-Week Beginner Program

The 8-Week Beginner Program consists of 8 individual online sessions.

If a student wishes to discontinue the program after the statutory withdrawal period has expired, payments already made will generally be applied to the agreed teaching services rather than refunded, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

Unused lesson time may be scheduled or rescheduled according to the applicable agreement and availability.

6. Technical Interruptions

Online lessons depend on electricity, internet connectivity, software and functioning technical equipment.

Power outages, internet connection problems or other technical problems may occur.

If teaching time is lost due to a technical interruption, SEPAAN will, where reasonably possible, compensate the lost teaching time by adding it to the next lesson or by providing equivalent additional teaching time.

A technical interruption does not automatically create a right to a cash refund.

7. Cancellation by SEPAAN

If SEPAAN is unable to conduct a scheduled lesson, an alternative appointment will be arranged with the student.

The affected teaching time will be provided at the replacement appointment.

If a replacement appointment cannot reasonably be arranged, any applicable refund or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

8. No Transfer or Resale

Booked lessons, lesson credits and program places are intended for the student for whom they were booked.

They may not be resold or commercially transferred to another person.

A parent or legal guardian may book lessons for a minor.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation & Withdrawal Policy excludes, limits or replaces any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

If mandatory consumer protection law provides a right to cancellation, withdrawal, refund or another remedy, that right remains unaffected.
