Terms & Conditions

Last update: 20th September 2026

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to all online drum lessons and programs provided by SEPAAN, operated by Sebastian [SURNAME], a self-employed freelancer based in Germany.

By booking a lesson or program, the student or their legal representative agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services

SEPAAN currently offers the following services:

1:1 Online Drum Lessons

  • €25 per 40-minute session

  • Individual online instruction for beginners and other students as agreed.

8-Week Beginner Program

  • €139

  • 8 structured online sessions

  • Each session lasts 40 minutes

  • The program includes structured instruction, practice guidance and individual feedback as agreed.

The 8-Week Beginner Program is currently offered on a temporary basis. SEPAAN reserves the right to change or discontinue the program for future bookings.

3. Booking and Contract Formation

A booking becomes binding when the booking has been expressly confirmed by SEPAAN and the relevant payment arrangements have been agreed.

Information provided on the website does not by itself constitute a binding offer to enter into a contract.

Before a booking is confirmed, the student will receive the relevant information regarding the service, price and applicable terms.

4. Personal Use and No Resale

Lessons, lesson credits and program places are intended exclusively for the person who will actually participate in the lessons.

They may not be purchased, transferred or booked for the purpose of resale or commercial redistribution.

A parent or legal guardian may book lessons or a program on behalf of a minor.

Bookings made on behalf of unrelated third parties or for resale are not permitted.

5. Prices and Payment

The prices stated on the website apply at the time of booking.

Payment is currently possible by:

  • PayPal

  • Bank transfer

Payment information and payment instructions will be provided by email.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be completed according to the payment instructions provided before the relevant lessons or program begin.

6. Scheduling and Appointments

Lesson appointments are arranged individually between SEPAAN and the student.

Students are responsible for being available and ready at the agreed time.

If a student cannot attend a scheduled lesson, they should inform SEPAAN as early as possible.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and may be agreed between the student and SEPAAN.

7. Technical Problems and Interruptions

Online lessons depend on electricity, internet connectivity, software and functioning technical equipment.

Power outages, internet connection problems, software problems or other technical disruptions may occur during a lesson.

If teaching time is lost due to a technical interruption, SEPAAN will, where reasonably possible, compensate the lost teaching time by:

  • adding the lost time to the next lesson, or

  • providing the equivalent teaching time during another agreed lesson.

Technical interruptions do not automatically result in a cash refund.

Paid amounts will normally be compensated through additional or replacement teaching time, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Teacher Cancellation

If SEPAAN or the teacher is unable to conduct a scheduled lesson, the teacher will arrange an alternative appointment with the student.

The affected lesson will be rescheduled and the payment already made will be credited toward the replacement lesson.

Where applicable, compensation will normally take the form of replacement teaching time rather than a cash refund, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Student Cancellation and Missed Lessons

Students should notify SEPAAN as early as possible if they cannot attend a scheduled lesson.

A missed lesson does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Where a rescheduling option has been agreed, the lesson may be moved to another available appointment.

Any statutory cancellation, withdrawal or refund rights remain unaffected.

10. Payments and Refunds

Payments made for lessons or programs are intended to be used for the agreed teaching services.

Where teaching time is lost or a lesson cannot take place, paid amounts will, where applicable, be compensated through replacement lessons or additional teaching time.

Paid amounts cannot generally be refunded solely because a student does not use a purchased lesson or program place, except where a refund, withdrawal or other remedy is required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts mandatory statutory rights of consumers.

11. Online Lessons

Online lessons are currently conducted using Google Meet unless another platform has been agreed in writing.

Students are responsible for having:

  • a suitable internet connection;

  • a functioning device;

  • the necessary software or browser;

  • a suitable environment for participating in the lesson;

  • their own drum equipment where required for the lesson.

Technical requirements may vary depending on the lesson.

12. Teaching Materials and Intellectual Property

Any teaching materials, exercises, written materials, diagrams, videos or other materials provided by SEPAAN are intended for the personal use of the student.

They may not be commercially reproduced, resold, redistributed or publicly published without prior written permission.

The student may use the materials for their own personal learning and practice.

13. Students Under 18

Students under the age of 18 must have the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

A parent or legal guardian must participate in the first video session and provide the necessary consent for the lessons, payment arrangements and online participation.

SEPAAN may request additional confirmation from a parent or legal guardian where appropriate.

14. Safe Practice

Drumming is a physical activity.

Students are responsible for practicing in a safe environment and using suitable equipment and appropriate posture and technique.

Students should stop an exercise if they experience pain, dizziness or other physical discomfort and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.

Instruction provided by SEPAAN is educational in nature and does not constitute medical or physiotherapeutic

advice.

15. Termination

The contractual relationship may be terminated in accorance with the applicable agreement and statutory law.

Any outstanding payment obligations remain unaffected by termination where legally due.

Mandatory statutory rights, including applicable consumer rights, remain unaffected.

16. Changes to These Terms

Any individual agreement that deviates from these Terms & Conditions must be made in writing and agreed by both parties.

SEPAAN may update these Terms & Conditions for future bookings.

The version applicable at the time of the booking will generally apply to that booking, subject to mandatory statutory provisions.

17. Applicable Law

German law applies to the contractual relationship, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply to consumers residing in other countries.

Where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

18. Cancellation and Withdrawal

Information concerning statutory cancellation and withdrawal rights is provided separately on the Cancellation & Withdrawal page.

Where statutory rights apply, these rights remain unaffected by these Terms & Conditions.
